The activity of the Iasi Branch of the Romanian Artists’ Union steadfastly abides by the principles of freedom of expression, equality among members, promotion and defence of the creative personality of visual artists, for the benefit of the individual and of the society at large.

The main purpose of the Iasi Branch of the Romanian Artists’ Union is to support and defend the professional interests of its members, to organize exhibitions, salons, art galleries, art colonies, to ensure the development of its material assets, to organise associated business activities, to support the activity and the debut of young creators, to develop and take part in the running of public interest projects, to assist its members in material, administrative and legal matters, to help them in reaching their professional goals and in fulfilling their social needs deriving from their position as members of the Romanian Artists’ Union.

The Iasi Branch of the Romanian Artists’ Union promotes and supports without discrimination all types of visual arts and all categories of artists, irrespective of age, gender, nationality, ethnicity or faith; its 400 members are directly involved in the city’s cultural and educational life.
